9 Days To Go: Project Preservation & Black History Month
Project Preservation Releases On The First Day Of Black History Month UK
Project Preservation launches on day one of Black History Month UK for a specific reason…
There is a unique tie between Black History Month and Project Preservation. The story of Naye is, in itself, a celebration of the gifts black culture has given us.
This link goes beyond a black main cast. It’s directly tied to the origins of Naye, and the people of this world. It’s central to the celebrations of this month.
There is a central narrative that weaves itself throughout the book, from the very start until the very last page that sits comfortably alongside Black History celebrations.
While El-Bayna is a different planet, in a different galaxy and completely unrelated culture wise to earth, the black people of this planet share many similarities. Even the vibrant and innovative nature of the tech interspersed with nature seen throughout the planet is itself a reflection of the creativity of the black spirit.
Mabior, the supreme leader and most powerful ruler on the planet, could resemble to some people, Nefertiti a queen of the 18th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt. Some could even view Stuk’aith the preacher, moving to more modern times as a kind of symbol of Rastafarianism, despite that culture not even existing on the planet El-bayna.
There’s more than this though, and revealing the central theme to the story would, of course, rob any potential readers of a surprise. To some readers, the adventure and conclusion satiates, to others, who discover the deeper meaning behind the entire story—and the relevance to Black History Month—the true story of Project Preservation reveals itself.
