4 Days To Go: Vedhla, The Religious Assassin
“I Will Kill For The Prophet Stuk’aith!”
Vedhla In The DOS Caves
Raised as a young girl to be an assassin and train and pray alongside the Disciples Of Stuk’aith, an extremist sect of the Osihlian religion, introducing Vedhla.
Tragedy struck her at the age of only 17, and she left the underground caves of her sect and survived in the world alone. Navigating from town to town, city to city amidst the religious war, trying to survive.
A tremendous martial artist, with almost a decade of training in the art of Kriselh. She is an absolute master with the Kakarr (the bo-like weapon used in Kriselh) and second to none at the close range brutal martial art of Kriselh.
God asks the more devoted Osihlians to train their children to fight in one of the later chapters of the Osihlian book. God tells Stuk’aith:
“Lo! Prophet! Look around you. Do you not see my infinite glory and grace? Indeed, tell them to show their love toward me by taking their young, aged 9 or 10, to the most devoted Osihlian temples. Let them train, fight, and learn to go to war alongside my angels. Teach them how to defend their lords name! Then, when the end of days comes, verily! Those who fight for their lord are indeed afforded a seat next to my throne in the gardens!” Book 3. Revelation 59, Section 203
It’s off the back of this quote Vedhla was given two bags and a backpack and told to make her way to the great caves, to become more devoted to her religion and train alongside the Disciples Of Stuk’aith when she was only ten years old. She was permitted to see her parents only once a year. The Day Of The Fenhela. A yearly religious celebration over ten days, where gifts are given and praise of Stuk’aith is encouraged.
Her prowess in Kriselh reached that of the Supreme Master. She learns the assassination techniques and gets prepared for more secretive missions at this stage. Targeting Golkann heads of state or big players. To destabilise Golkann regions, ultimately leading to eventual Osihlian rule.
She only targets those she perceives as ‘evil’: those on the boards of Golkann corporations, the aforementioned Golkann heads of state etc. However, she is too lenient on those who refuse to accept Stuk’aith as the one and only prophet of God. This puts her at odds with the rest of her brethren and sistren.
She will give food from the DOS storage supplies to the needy and homeless, regardless of if they are Osihlian or not (this show of apparent kindness is forbidden in the DOS)
Her life changes when one day out on a mission, she comes across a coach full of people, and one woman in particular, who is heavily pregnant, and in need of help…
